Our philosopy at SGA is that a good Arabian, must first be a good horse.

We believe that breed type is essential for an Arabian to be a good Arabian - but not at the expense of good conformation. We look for a refined head, with large eyes and small neat ears and a neck with exceptional arch. A short, strong back and long, broad hindquarter; good tail carraige, and most importantly - light, free, powerful action, with a long groundcovering stride.

To our minds, a good Arabian needs to be a sound useful horse that can fulfill a role as a performance animal. We place strong emphasis on legs and feet and overall good conformation. Temperament is a prime consideration for us. Our horses have to be good natured and easy to live with on a day to day basis. Our Arabians have been used for pursuits such as stock work, pleasure riding, racing and endurance. At the same time they have also been shown at halter - in a non-professional capacity - to take significant placings at major shows. Over the last several years all our stock sold have gone too endurance homes where they are performing well and winning rides both here and overseas.
