SGA was very fortunate to have the opportunity to have
the lovely straight Egyptian stallion AH RAMSES standing at stud for two seasons.
Ramses left us with some lovely correct progeny for our future program,
in particular his upstanding son NILE MEMAFINAZ (pend) from Belbowrie Memory's Rose.
MEMAFINAZ will be retained to join the show team here at SGA and as a future stalion prospect within the stud. |

AH RAMSES 
Bred here in Australia using frozen semen from the USA, AH Ramses represents an excellent outcross sire line to many of the Straight Egyptian bloodlines which are available in Australia today. In addition his lovely imported dam has produced some excellent progeny to date, but her line has not been disseminated into the breeding programs of Australian breeders at this time. So Ramses presents an excellent opportunity to access a proven sire of quality progeny who reflect his own innate qualities as well as representing an excellent outcross to most bloodlines.
For us, besides his lovely bloodlines and strong athletic conformation, his ability to improve action and instil his own delightful temperament in his progeny make him a stallion of very high merit. His first born straight Egyptian daughter out of Princess of the Nile is proving to us his great worth and of what value his lines may become in the future.

His lovely sire IBN SAFINAZ was bred at the EAO and imported into the USA by the renowned Imperial Stud of Barbara Griffith. There he became a U.S. National Top Ten Stallion, a multi-champion in English Pleasure and Pleasure Driving, and winner of numerous Get-Of-Sire classes.
IBN SAFINAZ (EAO / USA) 
Ibn Safinaz progeny have won USA Regional, National, as well as International titles in both halter and performance. His bloodlines are sought after to produce superbly balanced conformation and exciting action. He incorporates the IBN RABDAN sire line - so renowned for its effective use in the Babson breeding program in the USA. Ibn Safinaz possesses five crosses to the sire Ibn Rabdan in his breeding. (This is mirrored by another six crosses to that sire through Ramses' dam Sars Image.*) So AH Ramses brings a wealth of this desirable blood into our program.) As an older stallion Ibn Safinaz exemplifies the very best qualities of this sire line. As the only available breeding son of Ibn Safinaz in Australia Ramses presents a very valuable genetic resource.
IBN SAFINAZ (EAO / USA) 
The dam of Ramses - SARS IMAGE was bred in the USA and is a combination of the more usual concentration of Nazeer blood seen in most modern Egyptian breeding programs. A strongbodied mare witha good hindquarter she is a beauty who has won classic head classes here in Australia. She bears a strong resemblance to her successful sire SAR IBN MONIET - hence her own name.
SAR IBN MONIET & SARS IMAGE imp USA 
Of very relevant interest to us is the fact that the pedigree of Sars Image is made up of a number of SE horses that have contributed to the athletic performance of the Straight Egyptian. Horses like Ibn Moniet El Nefous, Shahks, Ansata el Sherif and Rashad Ibn Nazeer.
ANSATA EL SHERIF and SHAKHS 
The tail female line of Sars Image descends from the mare RADIA/GHADIA Bred in 1904 by Lady Anne Blunt at the Sheikh Obeyd Stud, Egypt and given by Lady Anne to the RAS. A classic type grey mare of 100% Ali Pasha Sherif breeding both sire and dam having been bred in Ali Pasha's stud. Radia was not a prolific mare at stud but her daughter BINT RADIA was more successful.
RADIA & BINT RADIA 
BINT RADIA was the grand dam via Samira of the influential mare Zaafarana - whose own daughter Ansata Bint Zaafarana proved so successful at Ansata Stud. Bint Radia's other daughter ZAMZAM was herself more prolific and produced four daughters that all bred on to some degree and also included Saklawia II who was the grand dam of the lovely mare SHAREEFA imported into Australia from Europe and who was the progenitor of a very successful family here. But the true measure of this mare is seen via her influential sons! For Bint Radia produced two supremely influential sons who were full brothers sired by Ibn Rabdan. The first of these was HAMDAN who was such an excellent sire producing an outstanding line of daughters as well as the sire ANTER. The other sibling being the excellent horse SHAHLOUL - an outstanding sire of progeny like El Sareei, Bukra, Futna, Kateefa, Moniet el Nefous and Om el Saad. It's a very influential line within modern Egyptian breeding and it's interesting to know that Ramses himself possesses no less than 26 crosses to IBN RABDAN in his breeding and half of these are via the outstanding Ibn Rabdan son SHAHLOUL.
