TORRYBURN HALAMA (dec)
(AK Jabal Ibn Moniet* ex Sadaf - by Abiram*)
DAHMIEH OM AAMR

A daughter of the last Bostocks import - AK Jabal Ibn Moniet, and out of the superb Abiram* broodmare - Sadaf, Halama was a very stylish youngster - who as a yearling was Champion Mare at the Newcastle Show. I acquired Halama several years later and she quickly became my favourite saddle mare. She is always a delight to ride and has such a beautiful way of going.

Her first foal for us was an upstanding chestnut filly by the Count Manilla son - Count Chatain. CHAITAMA (pictured) was a dark chestnut with flaxen mane and tail - and possessed of the 'CHATAIN' action.

Since then Halama has produced an excellent tall bay gelding to our own Abu Jaask - BEY ABU - who like many of the BASKEER x SADAF cross exhibits a really lovely head. (We think due to the IREX blood!) Originally sold to Ningadoo Arabians as an endurance prospect where he was showing much promise - he was sold to the Sheik Mahktoum stables in Dubai.

Bred too the leased stallion CAMEO THE WIZARD Halama produced a lovely tall grey filly in 2003 that is very like her dam in quality and style and who we think will make an excellent saddle prospect. HALAWA-SGA in the hands of her new owner in South Australia has proven a successful show mare as well as a promising endurance performer as well.

HALAWA-SGA

Halama's last foal produced in 2005, was a tall upstanding chestnut filly sired by Abu Jaask, that is a beautiful combination of her sire and dam in type and conformation.  She is just as athletic an individual as her older full sibling BEY ABU exp UAE - and has been registered as HAMAASA-SGA.

HAMAASA-SGA
(Abu Jaask ex Torryburn Halama - by AK Jabal Ibn Moniet*)
DAHMIEH
OM AAMR

Hamaasa has matured into a tall athletic mare with a beautiful light fine neck of lovely shape and length - she is an excellent mover with a long, light ground covering stride. A mare with good scope and a strong body, she has a lovely lay of shoulder and the athletic strengths and abilities of her sire and dam. Excellent depth of girth with good lung capacity and the strength of hindquarter to power her. She is a pretty blonde dark livery chestnut and shows great style and vivacity, particularly in motion and is a very complimentary individual for our stud sire Baromanov as proven by her first two foals for us.

 2009 Filly ex HAMAASA-SGA

Hamaasa-SGA was bred to Baromanov to produce a delightful grey filly for her first foal. A strong bodied filly with lovely type and movement and we are thrilled to have her and she will represent her dam's line here in the stud.

    2010 Baromanov colt ex Hamaasa.

In 2010 Hamaasa has produced a very promising chestnut / grey colt to Baromanov - a lovely typey and very well conformed colt with an upstanding attitude beautiful movement and lovely body we look forward to watching him develop.

The first filly from her dam and the first foal representing our cross of Baromanov over the daughters of Abu Jaask - and we could not be happier with this lovely grey filly. Strong bodied - with an excellent strength of hindquarter and a lovely length of stride with a light free way of covering the ground as well. And on top of all that she is extremely typey with a  beautiful refined head and excellent neck and carries herself with great style.

One to watch as she matures. This filly will be retained within the stud to continue the HALAMA mare line into the future.

MERIMINDI BASKABELLE
(Hamil ex Torryburn Rashaqa - by Baskeer)
DAHMIEH
OM AAMR

One of the most outstanding mares descended from the BOSTOCKS stud today, is the Champion mare TORRYBURN RASHAQA. Sired by Classic Supreme Exhibit Baskeer ex the lovely matron SADAF. Rashaqa is a glorious doe eyed beauty. A beautiful bay, with outstanding temperament and beauty and lovely conformation she has been an exemplary mare both in the show ring, at stud and under saddle.

In 1994 she appeared in the ring at the Victorian Classic where she was named Champion Senior Mare and SUPREME EXHIBIT.

T RASHAQA - dam of M. Baskabelle

In the same year as this show ring success Rashaqa also produced what is deemed one of her very best progeny in her lovely brown bay daughter Baskabelle. Baskabelle was sired by the stallion HAMIL - a past AUSTRALIAN NATIONAL CHAMPION - Halter and Harness - as well as TOP 10 Ridden all at the same Championships in 1986. Hamil - is an outstanding bay stallion who was well known in the ownership of the Vink's of Tarong Stud. He was however actually bred himself by Torryburn stud and he is also from the family of Nefertiti - his lovely dam Nasula (Sirocco ex Nofret) was a granddaughter of Nefertiti.  Nasula was also a half sister to our own foundation mare T. Handama (Ibn Antar* ex Nofret).  The sire of Hamil was the celebrated black SE stallion AK Sirhalima* (by Ansata Ibn Halima) who has made such a contribution to breeding in this country.

Also of special interest to us in this mare's breeding is the double cross to that outstanding Crystal Fire* son SIROCCO. Combining those two excellent UK imports and progenitors of outstanding endurance stock Crystal Fire* and SCHERZADE* - Sirocco was an excellent moving horse - a great show horse and an even greater breeding stallion. His line is very valuable in any pedigree. In particular in this pedigree 2 of his best daughters NASULA (ex Nofret) an outstanding producing mare and dam of champions - as well as the lovely FAYDA (ex Nefertiti) claimed by many as the most beautiful mare ever bred by the Bostocks stud.

Baskabelle represents not only her lovely dam - but with her double cross to Nefertiti though the dam line of both parents - fits beautifully into our Nefertiti based breeding program. A mare of beautiful type - with a big soft eye and very pretty exotic face. She is possessed of a long strong hindquarter and a strong deep body with exceptional strength of loin. She is a mare very reminiscent of many of the Peter Upton sketches and we are very glad to have her in our herd.

TORRYBURN DESERT SPRITE (dec)
(Fall Farm Desert Asahm* ex Jalisa - by AK Jabal Ibn Moniet*)

DAHMIEH OM AAMR

Desert Sprite was sired by the much under-rated imported son of The Egyptian Prince - FF Desert Asahm - a beautifully conformed horse representing some outstanding lines and who sired not only show winners but also successful endurance horses.

FF DESERT ASAHM - photo Pond

JALISA - photo DWW

Her dam Jalisa (see picture above) was one of my favourite mares of all time. I had the pleasure to prepare her for racing years ago. She was a lovely big mare with beautiful action, with a long free stride - full of power. A full sister to Torryburn Jaseem and Torryburn Kalila - she was out of that wonderful Bostocks brood mare KASTANA (Crystal Fire* ex NEFERTITI).

Desert Sprite inherited the best of both her parents. Like her dam she was a lovely mover and although not as tall a mare - she had a beautiful stride and a lovely top line. Her sire contributed a shorter back and stronger coupling together with sound legs and feet and a shorter more refined head.

T DESERT SPRITE  with Salinas-SGA at foot

As a broodmare she had limited opportunities at stud - but did produce two excellent youngsters to Baskeer (sire of our own senior stallion) for Torryburn stud prior to coming to us. Bred to Abu Jaask she produced for us a delightful filly with excellent light free action with a good length of stride, a good strong body and lovely neck. This is a mating that draws together multiple lines to the matriarch Nefertiti - as well as compounding the blood of that outstanding cross of AK Jabal Ibn Moniet over the Crystal Fire*/Nefertiti daughter Kastana. This filly SALINAS-SGA will be retained for the stud for the future. She is a beautiful representative of both her sire and dam.

Unfortunately we lost Sprite to a serious case of colic and a twisted gut late in 2005 while heavily in foal to Baromanov. She lives on through her lovely daughter.

SALINAS-SGA

DAHMIEH
OM
AAMR

The only foal produced for us during her dam's few years with us - this is filly is a delight to handle and have on the farm. She has the most biddable and relaxed temperament of any stock we have bred and is a pleasure to handle in every way.

Physically she is a lovely combination of her sire and dam - she is a beautiful bodied filly with a strong back and coupling and good hindquarter. Her good top line is balanced by a long underline and a lovely depth of girth. She has a well set neck and a good shoulder and she moves with a light free stride. Good straight legs and sound feet together with a refined head make her a wonderful prospect for the future both under saddle and within the stud’s broodmare band.  She represents a first generation bred within the Dahmieh Om Aamr strain with her tail female lines of both sire and dam descending from Nefertiti.

We look forward to Salinas' entry into the broodmare band with high expectations.

TORRYBURN GAHLIA
(Barbados-SGA ex Torryburn Ghazala - by Bremervale Excalibur)
DAHMIEH OM AAMR

The first foal of her sire Barbados-SGA this filly was bred at Torryburn stud and has joined us here to represent her sire, and she is an exciting example of what this young sire can contribute to our future.
T Gahlia as a foal

Her lovely dam Ghazala is one of those mares that catches the eye – high quality with a beautiful depth of body – combining real substance and strength with elegance and high quality, and topped with a beautiful neck and head. She is by the exciting and influential sire Bremervale Excalibur who was himself out of one of the loveliest mares to come to Australia, the beautiful *Polaca. Excalibur's progeny have left a lasting legacy in the Bremervale Stud with mares like the much decorated Bremervale Rhapsody breeding on beautifully.

T GHAZALA

Ghazala's female heritage includes Fantasy, the famed daughter of *Count Manilla, as well as the acclaimed moving *Crystal Fire sons, Crystal Count and Sirocco, and the grand-daughter, Brinsissa (*Abiram x Kastana) a beautiful show mare combining all the wonderful imports of the Bostocks stud in the first few generations of her breeding and an exceptional moving mare who produced some wonderful examples of the breed at stud.
Bred to the young homebred SGA sire Barbados-SGA in 2009, Ghazala has produced this promising youngster who is not only eye catching, showing great quality and style with substance but also exceptional movement. We were thrilled to see such a lovely youngster as the first foal of our young sire and we are even more excited to introduce this promising youngster into our stud for the future.

T GAHLIA as a yearling

Our thanks to her breeders, Frank and Elizabeth Staunton. Not only does she reinforce our own breeding programs success via her sire - but she brings to us the long valued blood of that grand old master Crystal Count, together with that of the long admired mare Shamaliah and her renowned sire Sirocco so with her lovelya ction compounds beautifully the blood of *Crystal Fire in our breeding future.
We look forward to showing this youngster in the future.

BOSTOCKS FANTISELLE (dec)
(Sunshine Bey* ex Salila - by AK Jabal Ibn Moniet*)
KEHAILEH RODANIEH

The outstanding Bostocks bred mare SALILA (pictured) (AK Jabal Ibn Moniet* ex Fantasy) was one of the most ideal mares we have known. A Supreme Exhibit at the Victorian Classic Show under the respected international judge Robbie Den Hartog. She was every inch a daughter of the Australian legend Fantasy. Her line is not very evident in Australian breeding today and remaining members of her family are to be treasured.

The Salila daughter Fantiselle came to us as an aged mare after spending many years as a forgotten Arabian. She was a bold upstanding mare - sired by the imported Sheila Varian bred stallion SUNSHINE BEY*. Fantiselle was the product of two very saddle orientated breeding programs - and as such was a perfect opportunity to incorporate the mare line of Salila and her dam Fantasy into our stud.

Not a very successful mare at stud in her later years she did abort two lovely fillies by Abu Jaask on consecutive seasons at 9 months to term before finally in 2005 at 21 years of age she produced a lovely correct and healthy filly foal by Abu Jaask for us which we have named Fantaissonce-SGA.

   FANTAISSONCE as an under yearling.

Our delight was tempered by the fact that 12 hours after foaling Fantiselle suffered a twisted gut and had to be destroyed. Her filly foal survives her and after battling an insidious and unrelenting case of scours that almost cost her life a number of times she has now gone from strength to strength and we look forward to her representing her dam's line within the stud for the future.

FANTAISSONCE-SGA
(Abu Jaask ex Bostocks Fantiselle - by Sunshine Bey*)
KEHAILEH RODANIEH

The only surviving daughter of her dam in our stud this filly has a lot of hopes pinned upon her. In spite of being reared an orphan she is a big, bold, athletic filly with a delightful temperament. She has a tremendous hindquarter and body and a lovely correct set of legs and feet. She moves beautifully as well and we are thrilled to have her here to represent not only her lovely deceased dam - but also the dam line of that incomparable Australian legend FANTASY.

She is the premier daughter of our senior stallion Abu Jaask and beautifully represents his atheltic ability, size and scope in the female line and we hope Fanta will emulate the success of her maternal grand dam Bint Jaaseem within the stud.

   FAINTAISSONCE-SGA

Fantaissonce is maturing into a big tall strong bodied mare that will mature over 15.1 hands. Like her dam before her she will be a very substantial mare in the mould of her grand dam Salila. We think she is the type of youngster that will mature into a very influential broodmare for the stud. So we are looking forward to breeding her to both Baromanov and Barbados-SGA in the future. Although her first mating may see her sent out to stud to bring in an outcross line for the future.

ESSENTIAL
(Warranty* ex Euni* by Bandos)
Kehailan Moradi
Tail female SAHARA ~1840

The Polish stallion Warranty (imp/exp) was a favourite of mine and was a quality saddle horse as well as a good looking show horse. His accolades here in Australia focussed on halter taking him Australian National Champion status. But upon his return to the USA he was campaigned under saddle to achieve some excellent results including a Canadian National Reserve Champion.

  Australian National Champion  WARRANTY

   WARRANTY Canadian Res National Champion

Warranty of course combined the blood of the outstanding Comet daughter - US National Champion Wisja - with that of his sire Aladdinn the 1978 Swedish National Champion and 1979 US National Champion who was also the 2nd leading sire of Arabians in the USA producing reliable athleticism, conformation, and trainability in competition.

ALADDINN

*Aladdinn stems from the Koheilan Haifi sire line, known for their great dispositions and ability to perform in athletic competition. Stemming from the desert import KUHAILAN HAIFI, including the Janow Podlaski bred colt OFIR. He became an outstanding sire and produced the BIG FOUR: WITEZ II, WYRWIDAB, WIELKI SZLEM, and WITRAZ. OFIR added a smooth structure with nice hindquarters and strong hind legs. WITRAZ was a compact horse and typical Kuhailan-Siglavi and  he in turn was the sire of 1964 US National Champion BASK.

Prior to his early death our homebred Warranty son, Wisjtar sired two 2 progeny for us. His chestnut son JAZZ-SGA ex SG Bint Jaseem, has proven a very sound and successful endurance horse who is still putting in some excellent performances. While his black full sister Jalalaika, is a good broodmare, producing lovely stock - some of which has already been exported.

With the death of Wisjtar we were left with no Warranty blood to carry on within the stud – so at last in an attempt to renew that influence in our program with that emphasis on strong of saddle horse conformation and ability, we have recently acquired the aged Warranty daughter Essential.

Essential is a daughter of the lovely Bandos daughter Euni, who was herself a beautiful and very influential mare in Australian breeding, and a full sister to the profoundly influential sire of racing / show and breeding stock in Poland – EUKALYPTUS.  They combined the blood of their outstanding sire Bandos with that of the wonderful Comet daughter Eunice. True treasures of Poland breeding these individuals and the progeny they have gone on to produce.

  BANDOS The Beautiful

    Polish supersire COMET

Comet daughters were valued worldwide for their substance and beauty and Essential is blessed as her pedigree boasts two of Comet's most aclaimed daughters. As well as being a maternal granddaughter of Eunice - one of Janow's most revered and successful broodmares and mare lines - Essential's sire Warranty was a grandson of the outstanding bay mare Warmia by Comet.

Essential is a pure Polish beauty expressing the innate strengths of her breeding. A quality individual with lovely breed type – she has a beautiful neck and front and great substance and strength through the body. She has a proven track record as a good producer and we hope to incorporate her strengths into our stud specifically in the hope of producing a future stud sire for our Bostocks / Russian endurance lines.

Essential is safely in foal to our young homebred sire Barbados-SGA for the 2011 foaling season.
