SAQLAWIYAH JIDRAN OF IBN SUDAN
This is a quality young colt with the lovely type of his sire line as well as the very good movement of his sire. Only a youngster himself this will be Mahal's second season at stud. With MB Mayal now exported to the Alfala Stud in Saudi Arabia the sons he has left in Australia to represent his qualities will come to the fore. Mahal is one who represents his sire well.
MB MAYAL RENOWNED FOR HIS MOVEMENT AND TYPE
MB Mayal is an intensely Nazeer line stallion. His blood represents a considerable concentration of two of the more famous Nazeer sons - Morafic and principally that of Anstata Ibn Halima to whom he was extensively line bred having ten crosses to that significant sire. Australia has seen several Ansata Ibn Halima progeny imported over the years and they have always appealed to Australian breeders as reservoirs of breed type and quality. In more recent years overseas the impact of the Ibn Halima son El Halimaar has grown in leaps and bounds and MB Mayal brought the same high quality and expressive type to his matings and consistently reproduced it across a variety of mares.

ARABIAN PARK EXQUISITE (2 x Ansata Ibn Halima) |
The dam of Mahal is an Australian bred mare descended from the Arabian Park importation Rafter G Charisma. Charisma has proven herself an influential mare in early Australian straight Egytpian breeding, and four of her daughters have bred on significantly into today. Produced herself from a combination of the then modern Egyptian lines with the significant Babson program. Her sire Ansata el Salim was sired by Ansata Ibn Halima from the pure Babson mare Maarqada. While her dam Faaraa, was sired by the pure Babson sire Faarad from the modern Egyptian mare Bint el Bataa. The mating of Charisma to the imported Ansata el Hakim, also sired by Anstata Ibn Halima, compounded the blood of Ansata Ibn Halima. as well and was a valuable source of the strengths of that breeding program as a result.
TARONG EL NEFOUS and TARONG SHAHGIG
Dowling Nabilah presents a concentration of Nazeer blood through two of his best known sons - Morafic (4 crosses) and Anstata Ibn Halima (5 crosses) all in the first 5 generations of her pedigree. Of real significance with regard to her breeding to MB Mayal was the mirroring in both pedigrees of no less than five crosses to Ansata Ibn Halima. This mating produced a son with an extremely high percentage of Dahman Shahwan strain in his blood which ties in beautifully with his tail female strain of Saklawi. It has resulted in a colt which compounds this famous blood and presents to breeders a chance to access it's prepotency and success now years after Ibn Halima's death through an individual strongly bred in his image.
DOWLING NABILAH
Of great interest to us here is that Nabilah presents a strong concentration of the blood of the influential imported mare Shareefa (Kaisoon x Salha by Sameh) via her most noted daughter Tarong Bint Shareefa (by Al Karim Sirhalima*). Perhaps most conspicuous for producing several quality sons including Australian National Champion Tarong Shahgig - Bint Shareefa also produced Tarong el Nefous - an important son of the strongly Moniet el Nefous bred sire Sir Ibn Moniet*. Nabilah combines these lines multiple lines of this family and strain and compounds the potential influence of Shareefa's line in the progeny of Mahal. Shareefa is important individual to us not only based on her own success in founding a successful and influential family line here in Australia - but as a further addition of the blood of her grandsire - the incomparable Sameh.
SHAREEFA
The unexpected plus for us here at SGA with Mahal is the chance to add the blood of Al Karim Jabal Ibn Moniet imp USA into our Egyptian breeding. Although he appears several generations back in the tail female line of Mahal - the genetic prowess of Jabal has stood us in good stead with our Bostocks line stock and we welcome the chance to add his blood in at least some measure to our Egyptian lines. jabal brought the substance and strength of the great Babson program via his outstanding dam Roufah together with his aclaimed sire - Ibn Moniet el Nefous. In some measure we hope to see this blood contribute to the success of Mahal's efforts as a sire.
AL KARIM JABAL IBN MONIET
Although only a youngster Mahal is filling out beautifully and provides breeders with a very real opportunity to access both the type and movement of his sire in a colt from a strongly bred mare line and from a pedigree that is immersed with the successful blood of the immortal Ansata Ibn Halima noteably via one of his most successful male lines through El Halimaar. We are confident of his abilities and look forward to utilising him over both straight Egyptian and our Bostocks lines mares here at SGA.
