Homer Davenport - My Quest of the Arabian Horse.   AL KARIM JABAL IBN MONIET* (Ibn Moniet el Nefous ex Roufah - by Ibn Fa Serr) Straight Egyptian and 26.95% CRABBET. 'Jabal' was a significant addition to the English bloodline mares of BOSTOCKS and Torryburn. He brought in a strong outcross from proven performance lines of Babson Egyptian blood crossed with the modern Egyptian supersire Ibn Moniet El Nefous. He was a Straight Egyptian of a different calibre to many imported to Australia and possessed an excellent shoulder and hindquarter with great strength and saddle horse ability. His blood is strong in our stock, and is proven in both the showring and performance arena. He sired such noted stock as NATIONAL CHAMPION GELDING - JANAB ex Nafsu, CLASSIC SUPREME CHAMPION - SALILA ex Fantasy, and CHAMPION RACEHORSE and NATIONAL FUTURITY CHAMPION - TORRYBURN JASEEM ex Kastana. He is also maternal grandsire of the Reserve World Champion Stallion - Dassefa.         TORRYBURN JASEEM (AK Jabal Ibn Moniet* ex Kastana - by Crystal Fire*) One of the first stallions we used over our mares. A superior athlete and a big, strong, correct individual with the quality and arrogance inherent in the line. He moved with real power in his stride and was a pleasure to watch under saddle. Jaseem was a NATIONAL RESERVE CHAMPION STALLION - AUSTRALIAN CHAMPION FUTURITY STALLION/COLT. He was a winner under saddle in ridden and a CHAMPION DRESSAGE HORSE at the Victorian Classic ridden by Kate Luckock. He was also a CHAMPION RACEHORSE - still winning races at 15 years of age. His premier daughter SG BINT JASEEM is one of our best producers and the backbone of our stud. IBN ANTAR* (Antar (EAO) ex Bint Mona - by Nazeer) Straight Egyptian and 28.9% CRABBET - E.A.O. bred he was from the great producing Nazeer daughter - Bint Mona, and he inherited considerable athletic ability from his sire Antar. IBN ANTAR was one of the many imports Gleannloch Stud made into the USA from the E.A.O. His dam was a full blood sister to Morafic - and she produced the Champion stallion and acclaimed sire THE EGYPTIAN PRINCE when bred to him. Ibn Antar was a beautiful performer in harness in his own right, and presented an opportunity to access the beauty of Egyptian blood through proven performance lines. In Torryburn Handama we own his most lookalike progeny born in this country. She is his mirror. BASKEER (Baskhan* ex Farreyna - by Tafadin) A well performed show horse who was SUPREME EXHIBIT at the Victorian Classic show as a yearling. His imported sire combined the Polish sireline of BASK - with the USA based Crabbet lines of Kimfa . His dam FARREYNA by Tafadin was a much decorated showmare - who is strongly Crabbet bred - and was also out of daughter of Count Manilla*. The BASK sireline through Baskhan and Baskeer has an increasingly obvious attraction to endurance riders. We retain a son and daughter of Baskeer in our breeding herd and are extremely happy with the quality of these individuals and especially the way they are breeding on for us. WARRANTY* (Aladdinn ex Wisja - by El Paso) AUSTRALIAN NATIONAL CHAMPION - pure Polish - for us he sired WISJTAR out of Torryburn Handama. Wisjtar was destroyed as a young stallion due to severe injuries received in an electrical storm. He had produced just two foals for us from SG Bint Jaseem. A chestnut colt - gelded (Tallawallah Jazz)- and proving to be an exceptional endurance horse in the hands of Terry Woods. His full sibling - the black mare JALALAIKA - currently owned in Queensland where she is producing some lovely stock - some of which have already been exported. CRYSTAL COUNT (Crystal Fire* ex Fantasy - by Count Manilla*) Bostocks bred, and a very great favourite of mine - he was used to bring in some of his own beautiful action and quality as well as his sought after bloodlines. Unfortunately he left us no fillies and his sons have become excellent endurance geldings. His stock are still keenly sought after as progenitors of endurance horses and we still hope to recover something of his blood for our stud before too long.   ABU JAASK (Baskeer ex SG Bint Jaseem - by Torryburn Jaseem) From limited use over our own mares 'Jaask' has produced some very nice stock. Successful endurance riders such as Terry Woods and Judy Burton have snapped up these youngsters. When endurance riders of this calibre become repeat buyers we know we are on the right track! For us 'Jaask' continues the strong Bostocks tradition of excellent saddle horse type in our stud and his youngsters reflect this. Indeed his oldest entire son - TORRYBURN TAHL - is now senior sire for the Torryburn Stud. We have not had a lot of time to promote 'Jaask' over the last several years. He breezed through his training rides - attracting considerable interest at the same time. He will be competing again in the near future as a novice TORRYBURN HARIYA EL JABAL (AK Jabal Ibn Moniet ex Miraya - by Crystal Fire*) We have used Hariya a number of times - in an attempt to bring in the blood of his lovely dam Miraya - as well as his own action, athletic ability and size. Unfortunatley while he produced us a couple of lovely anglo fillies (one of which was an A Class Champion at halter) so far his purebreds for us were all colts and become upstanding geldings. A NATIONAL STUD SHOW CHAMPION and A Class Champion - his won quality and irreplaceable bloodlines are more than sufficent basis to utilise his qualities in our herd. This season we have a daughter of Reserve World Champion Dassefa in foal to him in the hope that a pre-eminent son from Hariya might result!       DASSEFA (WN Dasjmir* ex Jessefa - by AK Jabal Ibn Moniet*) RESERVE WORLD CHAMPION STALLION - he sired two lovely purebred fillies for us prior to his export. His sire line is that of the lovely Spanish stallion JACIO - and Dassefa has inherited his lovely strength of body, hindquarter and loins. He is out of a lovely daughter of AK Jabal Ibn Moniet* who is a daughter of the exceptional showmare SERREFA (AK Sirhalima x Fanfare). We are very pleased to have two young mares who reflect the quality and beauty of this exceptional stallion. FALL FARM DESERT ASAHM* (The Egyptian Prince ex Hamara - by Hallany Mistanny) A product of the 'NEW' Egyptians represented by his sire - the Morafic son - The Egyptian Prince - used over the USA's 'OLD' Egyptian bloodlines. Asahm's dam was a daughter of the prominent USA sire Hallany Mistanny and was out of the mare Haraka - Haraka was a daughter of the lovely Egyptian bred mare HH Mohammed Ali's Hamida - who was herself a daughter of the acclaimed MAHROUSSA. Injury as a youngster hampered Asahm's success as a show and performance horse - however as a sire he produced some excellent stock. One of his progeny INNESVIEW DESERT MHASA represented Australia at the World Endurance Championships in the UAE in 1998. Noteable amongst these is the grey mare Bostocks Shamita- a winner at the National as a yearling and a successful performance mare in far North QLD.(She is a full sister to our own mare Desert Sprite) HAMIL  (AK Sirhalima* ex Nasula - by Sirocco) AUSTRALIAN NATIONAL CHAMPION STALLION - HALTER & HARNESS & TOP 10 Ridden - all at the same Championships 1986.  An outstanding Egyptian/Crabbet cross and son of the celebrated black import AK Sirhalima* - Hamil was promoted not only at halter - but in performance as well. He was successful in harness as well as under saddle and was the recipient of many Championship awards. He possessed his Champion Roll of Merit for Halter as well. He combined the quality and type and action of his Egyptian sire with the constitution and strength and movement of his dam who was a daughter of the outstanding Bostocks bred sire SIROCCO. As a sire Hamil has produced multiple Australian champion progeny in the performance arena and has also been the sire in his later years of some outstanding Arabian-bred stock as well. He is the sire of the lovely mare Baskabelle who represents him beautifully at SGA.   RALVON PILGRIM (Sire & grandsire of KYREMI ILLUSTRAA) KYREMI ILLUSTRAA (Ralvon Pilgrim ex Arjai Tammie - by Ralvon Pilgrim) AUSTRALIAN NATIONAL CHAMPION STALLION - an inbred son of the Australian icon RALVON PILGREM (pictured) out of an own daughter. We bred Illustraa to our premier mare SG Bint Jaseem he has sired a very promising colt in JALUSTRE. We selected Illustraa on the quality and excellent action exhibited by his progeny. JALUSTRE will be retained for the future. He brings us the blood of several significant HANSTEAD horses through ROYAL DOMINO* and his dam SCHERZADE - as well as that of International Champion Stallion RALVON PILGRIM. CAMEO THE WIZARD (Tafadin ex Kalila - by Santarabia Karim) A high percentage Crabbet stallion who combines not only the blood of his sire Tafadin but also Silver Moonlight and the Polish blood import San Sebastion. Spending most of his life in the Sahala Stud of Judy and Martin Penfound - Wizard spent a last season with us where he was used over a couple of our mares. His compact body with short strong back and excellent coupling, even at his advanced age, are outstanding. Already a proven sire of well performed endurance stock - several of which have been exported. We hope his progeny from our mares will make excellent endurance prospects.
