TORRYBURN HALAMA
(AK Jabal Ibn Moniet* ex Sadaf - by Abiram*)
DAHMIEH OM AAMR
A daughter of the last Bostocks import - AK Jabal Ibn Moniet, and out of the supurb Abiram* broodmare - Sadaf, Halama was a very stylish youngster - who as a yearling was Champion Mare at the Newcastle Show. I acquired Halama several years later and she quickly became my favourite saddle mare. She is always a delight to ride and has such a beautiful way of going.
Her first foal for us was an upstanding chestnut filly by the Count Manilla son - Count Chatain. CHAITAMA (pictured) was a dark chestnut with flaxen mane and tail - and possessed of the 'CHATAIN' action.
Since then Halama has produced an excellent tall bay gelding to our own Abu Jaask - BEY ABU - who like many of the BASKEER x SADAF cross exhibits a really lovely head. (We think due to the IREX blood!) Originally sold to Ningadoo Arabians as an endurance prospect where he was showing much promise - he has recently been sold to the Middle East on the basis of his quality and potential.
Bred too the leased stallion CAMEO THE WIZARD Halama produced a lovely tall grey filly in 2003 who is very like her dam in quality and style and who we think will make an excellent saddle prospect. HALAWA-SGA was to be retained until Halama once again foaled a filly this season by Abu Jaask.
Halama's latest foal produced in 2005, is a tall upstanding chestnut filly who is a beautiful combination of her sire and dam in type and conformation. Foaled several weeks late she was a difficult birth due to her increased size - however she and her dam have recovered well and this filly presents us with a wonderful opportunity for the future. She is just as athletic an individual as her older full sibling BEY ABU exp UAE - and at this early stage is all neck and hindquarter. She will be registered as HAMAASA-SGA.

MERIMINDI BASKABELLE
(Hamil ex Torryburn Rashaqa - by Baskeer)
DAHMIEH OM AAMR
One of the most outstanding mares descended from the BOSTOCKS stud today, is the Champion mare TORRYBURN RASHAQA. Sired by Classic Supreme Exhibet Baskeer ex the lovely matron SADAF - Rashaqa is a glorious doe eyed beauty. A beautiful bay, with outstanding temperament and beauty and lovely conformation she has been an exemplary mare both in the showring, at stud and under saddle. In 1994 she appeared in the ring at the Victorian Classic where she was named Champion Senior Mare and SUPREME EXHIBIT.
TORRYBURN RASHAQA - dam of M. Baskabelle
In the same year as this showring success Rashaqa also produced what is deemed one of her very best progeny in her lovely brown bay daughter Baskabelle. Baskabelle was sired by the stallion HAMIL - a past AUSTRALIAN NATIONAL CHAMPION - Halter and Harness - as well as TOP 10 Ridden all at the same Championships in 1986. Hamil - is an outstanding bay stallion who was well known in the ownership of the Vink's of Tarong Stud. He was however actually bred himself by Torryburn stud and he is also from the family of Nefertiti - his lovely dam Nasula (Sirocco ex Nofret) was a granddaughter of Nefertiti. Nasula was also a half sister to our own foundation mare T. Handama (Ibn Antar* ex Nofret). The sire of Hamil was the celebrated black SE stallion AK Sirhalima* (by Ansata Ibn Halima) who has made such a contribution to breeding in this country.
Also of special interest to us in this mare's breeding is the double cross to that outstanding Crystal Fire* son SIROCCO. Combining those two excellent UK imports and progenitors of outstanding endurance stock Crystal Fire* and SCHERZADE* - Sirocco was an excellent moving horse - a great show horse and an even greater breeding stallion. His line is very valuable in any pedigree. In particular in this pedigree 2 of his best daughters NASULA (ex Nofret) an outstanding producing mare and dam of champions - as well as the lovely FAYDA (ex Nefertiti) claimed by many as the most beautiful mare ever bred by the Bostocks stud.
Baskabelle represents not only her lovely dam - but with her double cross to Nefertiti though the dam line of both parents - fits beautifully into our Nefertiti based breeding program. A mare of beautiful type - with a big soft eye and very pretty exotic face. She is possessed of a long strong hindquarter and a strong deep body with exceptional strength of loin. She is a mare very reminiscent of many of the Peter Upton sketches and we are very glad to have her in our herd where her breeding too Abu Jaask is much anticipated.

TORRYBURN DESERT SPRITE (deceased)
(Fall Farm Desert Asahm* ex Jalisa - by AK Jabal Ibn Moniet*)
DAHMIEH OM AAMR
Desert Sprite was sired by the much under-rated imported son of The Egyptian Prince - FF Desert Asahm. Her dam Jalisa (see picture above) was one of my favourite mares of all time. I had the pleasure to prepare her for racing years ago. She was a lovely big mare with beautiful action, with a long free stride - full of power. A full sister to Torryburn Jaseem and Torryburn Kalila - she was out of that wonderful Bostocks brood mare KASTANA (Crystal Fire* ex NEFERTITI). Desert Sprite inherited the best of both her parents. Like her dam she was a lovely mover and although not as tall a mare - she had a beautiful stride and a lovely topline. Her sire contributed a shorter back and stronger coupling together with sound legs and feet and a shorter more refined head.
T DESERT SPRITE with Salinas-SGA at foot
As a broodmare she had limited opportunities at stud - but did produce two excellent youngsters to Baskeer (sire of our own senior stallion) for Torryburn stud prior to coming to us. Bred to Abu Jaask she produced for us a delightful filly with excellent light free action with a great length of stride, a good strong body and lovely neck. This is a mating that draws together multiple lines too the matriarch Nefertiti - as well as compounding the blood of that outstanding cross of AK Jabal Ibn Moniet over the Crystal Fire*/Nefertiti daughter Kastana. This filly SALINAS-SGA will be retained for the stud for the future. She is a beautiful representative of both her sire and dam.
Unfortunately we lost Sprite to a serious case of colic and a twisted gut late in 2005 while heavily in foal to Baromanov. She lives on through her lovely daughter.

SALINAS-SGA
(Abu Jaask ex Torryburn Desert Sprite - by Fall Farm Desert Asahm*)
DAHMIEH OM AAMR
The only foal produced for us during her dam's few years with us - this is filly is a delight to handle and have on the farm. She has the most biddable and relaxed temperament of any stock we have bred and is a pleasure to handle in every way.
Physically she is a lovely combination of her sire and dam - she is a beautiful bodied filly with a strong back and coupling and good hindquarter. Her good topline is balanced by a long underline and a lovely depth of girth. She has a well set neck and a good shoulder and she moves with a light free stride. Good straight legs and sound feet together with a refined head make her a wonderful prospect for the future both under saddle and within the studs broodmare band. Initially we hope to breed her to Barbados-SGA. He is a very complimentary individual for Salinas and this mating will allow us to linebreed on the now deceased Bint Jaseem through her two premier sons - Abu Jaask and Barbados-SGA. We look forward to Salina's entry into the broodmare band with high expectations.

BOSTOCKS FANTISELLE (deceased)
(Sunshine Bey* ex Salila - by AK Jabal Ibn Moniet*)
KEHAILEH RODANIEH
The outstanding Bostocks bred mare SALILA (pictured) (AK Jabal Ibn Moniet* ex Fantasy) was one of the most ideal mares we have known. A Supreme Exhibit at the Victorian Classic Show under the respected international judge Robbie Den Hartog. She was every inch a daughter of the Australian legend Fantasy. Her line is not very evident in Australian breeding today and remaining members of her family are to be treasured.
The Salila daughter Fantiselle came to us as an aged mare after spending many years as a forgotton Arabian. She was a bold upstanding mare - sired by the imported Sheila Varian bred stallion SUNSHINE BEY*. Fantiselle was the product of two very saddle orientated breeding programs - and as such was a perfect opportunity to incorporate the mare line of Salila and her dam Fantasy into our stud.
Not a very successful mare at stud in her later years she did abort two lovely fillys by Abu Jaask on consecutive seasons at 9 months to term before finally in 2005 at 21 years of age she produced a lovely correct and healthy filly foal by Abu Jaask for us. Our delight was tempered by the fact that 12 hours after foaling Fantiselle suffered a twisted gut and had to be destroyed. Her filly foal survives her and after battling an insidious and unrelenting case of scours that almost cost her life a number of times she has now gone from strength to strength and we look forward to her representing her dam's line within the stud for the future.
FANTAISSONCE-SGA
(Abu Jaask ex Bostocks Fantiselle - by Sunshine Bey*)
KEHAILEH RODANIEH
The only surviving daughter of her dam in our stud this filly has a lot of hopes pinned upon her. In spite of being reared an orphan she is a big, bold, athletic filly with a delightful temperament. She has a tremendous hindquarter and body and a lovely corrrect set of legs and feet. She moves beautifully as well and we are thrilled to have her here to represent not only her lovely deceased dam - but also the dam line of that incompareable Australian legend FANTASY.
Fantaissonce is maturing into a big tall strong bodied mare who will mature over 15.1 hands. Like her dam before her she will be a very substantial mare in the mould of her granddam Salila. We are looking forward to breeding her to both Baromanov and Barbados-SGA in the future. BUt first she will be broken to saddle and spend some time being worked. We a
